Application for 2021 Scholarship

In accordance with the goals of rewarding graduating seniors from area high schools, the Rhode Island Police Chiefs’ Association awards scholarships annually to assist students who wish to continue their education.

All completed forms (with applicant’s final grades) must be postmarked by June 30th, 2021.

These forms are available through each Active I Member.

Scholarships are open only to daughters and sons of active sworn law enforcement officers of any agency in which the chief is an Active I Member of the association and who have been accepted to a post-secondary school.

Note: Only high school graduates for September entrances qualify (June 2021 graduates).

Scholarships will be awarded according to the following criteria:

  1. Academic achievement(s), citizenship, community and school involvement.
  2. All forms must be completed and signed by Chief of Agency. Postmarked by the deadline of June 30, 2021.
  3. Student must be a high school senior graduate of the class of June 2021 who has been accepted to a post-secondary school (college, etc.) as an incoming freshman during the month of September 2021 – no exceptions.
  4. School to be attended must be an accredited post-secondary school or a school accepted by a state higher education authority.
  5. Scholarships will be awarded upon verification of acceptance and all information provided by applicant that the student is actually in attendance at the institution provided.

The Rhode Island Police Chiefs’ Association nor the Scholarship Committee, will not discriminate on the basis of color, sex, creed, religion or national origin, in accordance with Title IX.
