Senate Committee Unanimously Confirms Manni to Head RISP

The Rhode Island State Police are one step closer to having a new leader. Former Maj. James Manni was unanimously confirmed by the Senate Judiciary Committee Tuesday afternoon. Manni, who most recently was the town manager in Narragansett, was lauded by character witnesses. Six different witnesses came forward to praise Manni, who spent 30 years in law enforcement before retiring from the state police in 2015.
