Motorcycle Safety is a Two-Way Street

The Rhode Island Police Chiefs Association is launching the "Motorcycle Safety is a Two-Way Street" campaign. This public education and enforcement initiative will feature social and digital content, as well as television and radio ads produced in collaboration with the Rhode Island Broadcasters Association. Running from now through October, the campaign aims to raise motorists' awareness and enhance the safety of both drivers and motorcyclists sharing the road this summer.

As the weather warms up and more residents are on the move, cooperation from all road users becomes crucial to reducing fatalities and injuries. It's especially important for motorists to understand the unique safety challenges faced by motorcyclists, gain insight into their riding habits, and follow safety tips for best driving practices. Key messages in this campaign include checking mirrors and blind spots, remembering that every motorcyclist is someone special, and sharing the road—but never sharing a lane.

#TwoWayStreet will be featured on the Association's social media accounts this summer. All are encouraged to like and share our posts:
